I thought this quote was a beautiful way of celebrating the idea of marrying the influential singers and songwriters with the newer and modern versions. It won’t be the first time this has been said but Savages’ song Husbands reminds me of Patti Smith’s Horses. That same passion and conviction on delivery is prevalent in both, and it is intoxicating.
The London-based post-punk revival rock band Savages not only come with a force that is of another era, they are also lead by the most engaging front girl: Frenchy gal Jehnny Beth, (real name: Camille Berthomier). Big girl crush.
