After getting home later than usual last night we decided to wind down the day with a vinyl session which eventuated in having only just enough energy to listen to the one record…
That record was A Hard Road, the third studio album recorded by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, released in 1967. It’s third song Another Kind of Love features bitter-tasting lyrics sung by Mayall, paired with a bluesy riff from Peter Green (who ended up departing the band with Mick Fleetwood and original bassist John McVie a few weeks later to form Fleetwood Mac).
It’s the perfect end-of-the-day-tune. Have a beer, catch some sun and enjoy your evening!
