Chocolate Bircher Muesli.
This recipe for overnight chocolate bircher ‘muesli’ is guaranteed to boost your energy levels and keep your stress levels at bay. Yes, you heard me right! how is this possible you ask? This beautiful and nourishing breakfast contains the superfood and nutritional powerhouse ‘maca’, which adds a beautiful nutty, vanilla, sweet and malty deliciousness to satisfy your sweet tooth, while also rewarding your body.
1 can organic coconut cream
4 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder
4 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp honey or pure maple syrup
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
3 tsp dried maca powder (optional)
optional extras:
fresh fruit
dried fruit
silvered almonds, or other seeds and nuts
a spoonful of coconut cream, cream, or natural yoghurt
In a glass bowl or large jar, add all of the ingredients. Mix well and place in the fridge. Leave to soak overnight or for at least 2 hours. Serve with your choice of toppings.
