Tanya Linny is a Sydney based, ex-professional model, who lived and worked internationally for 15 years. After moving away from modeling, Tanya has focused on her art in recent years and has steadily been carving out a successful name for herself as an emerging artist.
Her work is informed by her past experience in the fashion world and deals with issues surrounding the way women are portrayed in the media. Her solo show, opening tonight at Global Gallery in Paddington, Sydney, entitled ‘Morphic Distortions’, addresses the many layers that make up society’s media paradigm. Through drawing, collage, paper sculpture and dye transfer, Linney has created a set of works as complex as they are beautiful.
See Tanya Linney’s work below and hopefully I can share some of the opening night coverage on here too!

The final word …“It is humour in art that I love “ …Linney says, “ It becomes a
forum for me to question ideals …to change them ….to augment reality, to not
always oppose but to always question.”

She is really talented. Saw her works up close. Amazing!
