Stine Goya, after coming off a very successful runway show for her new Spring 2011 Collection, sits down with V Magazine to answer a few questions about her brand, her studying at Central Saint Martins, her previous modeling career and her beloved city, Denmark.
What are your general thoughts on Copenhagen Fashion Week? How does it compare to New York, London, or Paris?
I think it has a very strong collective design identity and an intimacy which is almost endearing. However, I think it is slowly opening up to a greater diversity of expression and has become more open to the avant-garde, which I think is a very positive development in order for Copenhagen to continue to be relevant and interesting on the international scene.
What do you love about being based in Denmark? What are the benefits?
I enjoy being around my family and friends and to start up here has been great. I have a great network whom have been helping out from the beginning. Copenhagen has a special intimacy and unique atmosphere.

“and her beloved city, Denmark.”
Denmark is not a city, it's a country, I guess you wanted to say “Copenhaguen, Denmark” 😉
