“We came to this collaboration as a way of extending out from our respective practices and creating a new dialogue and conversation about how artists come together in different ways. We wanted to try something new.
Over the past years, our respective practices have shifted and taken new forms in different ways. These photographs, taken by Marlee Pasinetti, represent the beginning of the wire chapter in Anna Fiedler’s work — the introductions of this material and method of creating imagery through form that extends beyond the existing weaving methodology that she has previously developed.
These photographs and drawings were made in Fiedler’s former studio, situated at the heart of Collingwood House. The text components are built from notes that Anna has made through time and noted in her phone.” — Mashara Wachjudy
