The things Rushka cannot live without? ….
1. Books
“Reading for me is my number one thing. I love Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Now I’m reading The Idiot; this is my fifth time reading it. I’m also reading Freud at the moment. When I read books, I sometimes like to mix between different books at the same time.”
2. Sunglasses
“I have to tell you one of my secrets; I love sunglasses. I have lost so many pairs of sunglasses–all the time I go into a taxi and lose my glasses. This means I’m always buying more! I love Tom Ford glasses and Saint Laurent glasses.”
3. Hermes Kelly Caleche Parfum
“My great-grandmother wore Hermes Kelly Caleche perfume, I remember it from my childhood. This is a smell that fits my skin so well. Any place I go, I put this perfume on me. Without Hermes I cannot live.”
4. Lipstick
“I am a Mediterranean girl, so I cannot live without my red lipstick. This is another thing I learned from my great-grandmother. In our culture you wear no makeup, but only red lipstick. I discovered NARS has one of the best pencil lipsticks that never fades off.”
5. Accessories!
“Of course a stylist will always love accessories. When you have beautiful shoes and beautiful bags, you can wear any kind of clothing. I love Balenciaga so much; I think I have more vintage Balenciaga than any single person on the planet. Another of my favorite designers is Christophe Decarnin. Chrisophe, if you are reading this, I need a dress to be made very soon because I don’t have anything to wear. Even if you are not at Balmain anymore, please make the clothes as Christophe Decarnin! [Laughs]. We desperately need it. I adore Ricardo Tisci, Hedi Slimane, Kris van Assche, John Galliano, all these designers I cannot live without.”
