Max Olijnyk made his first pair of jeans for a friend in the early 90s, as a tribute to Mike Carroll and the skaters of San Francisco who he deemed “the best dressed people in the world at the time.” Now with skate inspirations still heavily influencing his designs, Max Olijnyk is making denim designed with is friends in mind. His label ‘Note To Self’ is a progression from his word of mouth creations into a now established brand which has something for everyone.
The label’s A/W 09 collection has each item named after his friends who inspired the design in the first place. The driving principle behind ‘Note To Self’ is that everyone requires and individual pair of jeans, as everyone is different, both in physical shape and daily lifestyle.
