A couple weeks ago, we had the chance to attend a Women’s Summit for Nike Training Spring 09 at their world headquarters to see the latest in technological advancements in women’s training. . What was unveiled to us was a new series of training shoes that were developed with the female athlete in mind. And as they say at Nike, “If you have a body – you are an athlete.”
The new series of footwear goes by the name of the Nike Sister Series and it is a family of training shoes with some great features designed to provide support for the foot in a way that has never been offered before. Each of these sneakers utilizes a revolutionary technology called DiamondFLX, which enables the foot to move in a multidirectional motion, thus strengthening your foot and providing support and stability to maximize the athlete’s training performance levels.
Now, I would like to take a moment to introduce you to the shoes that make up for this amazing new family of footwear. In what I saw as the crown jewel of the Nike Sister Series, not only does the Sister One+ make use of DiamondFLX, it also makes use of Flywire, to help create an extremely durable and functional training shoe. This particular shoe also features some great amenities never before seen in a training shoe such as, Nike +, a low-profile Nike Zoom unit for extra cushioning, higher density arch foam that supports the foot during lateral moves, plus much more. Also in the mix is the Nike Shox ZipSister+ with its familiar Nike Shox technology and reduced weight, this makes for the most lightweight and most flexible Nike Shox shoe in existence. Next up is the Zoom Bold Sister Mid+, which offers support and flexibility with a lightweight upper and a Nike Zoom heel unit for good measure. The Zoom Quick Sister+ is also has very lightweight construction, which makes for a very light and breathable shoe making for a great training shoe. And last, but not least, is the Zoom Essential Sister+ with its sleek design and breathable uppers, it also features encapsulated Nike Air in the heel for extra cushioning, and leather overlays to give support for side-to-side movements.
That concludes our review and preview of the Nike Sister Series that is slated to release Spring 09. We thoroughly enjoyed the product that we were able to see and touch first hand and we feel you will too. The shoes will meet and exceed all of your training needs by providing the comfort, support, and technology that every athlete deserves.
