Monday’s Muse: Cocktail Cherry

First designed by Charles & Ray Eames, in 1953, these brightly-coloured wooden spheres, also known as “cocktail cherries”, were aimed at encouraging children to hang up all their things. Today (well, actually two days ago) at Paris Fashion Week we see legendary designer Phoebe Philo give a nod to the most important figures of twentieth century design seen in the details of the accessories for her Celine Fall 2013 collection.
