Monday’s Muse: Carole Bouquet
God damn, French women, eh? They’re just always the best; Coco, Jane, Anna, Audrey, Charlotte, Brigitte, Catherine… Elegant, classic, never over-done or making bad wardrobe-decisions, they just seem to effortlessly pull together the ultimate version of themselves. Where does that innate sense of style come from? My mother is French and she’s the same; Always wearing a considered little outfit, perfectly put together offering something to draw interest but never enough to demand a stare.
Another French woman who is the epitome of cool, is actress and model Carole Bouquet, known as the face of Chanel No5 and as a celebrated Bond girl during the ’80s. Quite the nod of approval from both the fashion and film industries… This series of images taken by photographer Marc Riboud of Carole Bouquet lounging around are adorable. Just look at her glasses – they’re the perfect addition of quirk to a sensible jeans-and-sweater combo. And her choice of embellished earring for couch-time are just too good.
