In a very untraditional Maison Martin Margiela way, they produced a very traditional runway show for their Fall 09 collection in Paris. With rumours of the creative genius behind this fashionably generous company having retired, the ‘is he’ or ‘isn’t he’ factor has started to become somewhat tiresome. The season is still gorgeous but did seem to lack a certain ‘fashion forward’ mantra that is always so prominent in MMM’s showings. With nude bodysuits and loopy knit jackets the garments are wearable and easy to digest. But is this what we wanted from such an influencial company? Take a look for yourself after the jump.
