Jill Bradshaw (formerly of I Heart) has been putting together a new side project called Magazine Party. An extension of Glenn O’Brien’s TV Party, Magazine Party aims to steer clear from the technically slick feeling that comes along with so many magazines these day and instead takes a more DIY approach. Bradshaws’s friends have all contributed including ‘barbarian drawings by Fergadelic, a comic based off Master of Reality song titles by Jess Rotter, Vena Cava paper doll cut out wardrobe drawings, Kenzo Minami pornographic mosaic collage, and many more’.
Copies of the zine will be sold today- Wednesday, September 22 at an art show curated by Jess Rotter in the Nightwood Pop-up Shop at 189 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn. If you can’t make it then, the limited-edition zine can also be found at Colette in Paris and Family in LA. For everyone else, you can send $25 to jill@iheartnyc.com through Paypal with your address and she will mail you one while supplies last.
