Arriving in Tokyo is an incredible sensory overload – the perfect / bewildering combination of ordered precision and hyper, frenzied energy. A complete contrast to the calm serenity of Kyoto’s traditional temples and gardens. The island of Naoshima differs further still; Ocean swims at dawn and hazy morning light – the setting for Naoshima’s remarkable architecture, sculpture and modern art museums. It is hard to describe a place as exciting and unique as Japan in so few words, from my time there I have the images below, and an eagerness to return… as soon as possible…
