Greg Lauren Counter Couture Paper Installations feature these origami-ish suit sculptures by the artist who’s family tree offers him to be the nephew of Ralph (Lauren) and, perhaps more importantly, husband of Elizabeth Berkley! Combined with a visual of Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in Alfred Hitchcock’s To Catch a Thief projected onto them, the installation, opening today at the FIAF gallery, deals with the ritual of getting dressed, according to Lauren, “obsessing over the different aesthetics of a straight versus spread collar, perfecting the shape of a pocket square or the dimple in one’s tie.”
