Gian Paolo Barbieri exhibition at Paul Smith
Former Vogue Photographer, aswell as photographer to the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Anjelica Huston and Iman, Gian Paolo Barbieri, is holding an exclusive exhibition of his career’s works at Paul Smith’s London Flagship store.
“We are excited to be exhibiting the work of this stylish photographer, which is divided into two parts,” Smith explains of the 14-image showcase. “One shows his exquisite photographs of women, especially the 1973 portrait of Anjelica Huston and a graphic photograph of Audrey Hepburn.”
He continues: “The second part of the show is photographs from his “ethnic” archive, showing sculptural portraits of men, and includes one of my favourites – two hands firmly clasped together. The power oozes from this photograph.”
The exhibition opened 23rd April at Paul Smith, 9 Albemarle Street, London, W1, and runs until May 3. Available at the show are exclusive prints in limited edition runs of just 7 signed by the famed photographer! A great chance to acquire a hugely influential piece of fashion history.
