Friday Feels Like: Cité des Etoiles

I really like the idea that design should either solve problems or evolve a product that already exists to create a better way of living. John Renaudie designed ‘Star City,’ or more commonly known as ‘Les Etoiles Housing’ in Givors, France, 1980. With its 207 housing units and condominiums, shops and public facilities this solution to dense living proves that architecture can and should be functional.
