In the world of denim, anything goes. Sure, there are the too-many-fake-whiskerings and the not-enough-cotton-count versions that are definitely unfavorable, but when you are talking about the essence of denim, now that is something that can lend itself to many situations. Denim is functional, comfortable, classic and cool. It is a fabric that will exist in nearly every wardrobe. You probably even have a few pairs that you don’t let anyone else see you in, jeans that you have “borrowed”, fallen in love with and never quite returned them to their home or denim that you have softened with years of your own wear and tear.
It’s a big conversation, denim.
Lets just start with a good old favorite; boys jeans. They really are the best. Especially on Fridays. The more relaxed day of the week by office standards and a great time to pinch a pair of older, softened jeans from your boy’s closet. Friday Feels Like is dedicated to boys in jeans. I’ve picked out a few favourites that embody that essence of denim. Happy Friday! xx
Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Look at Neil’s jeans. The man is a fucking legend.
George Harrison, looking exceptional. Long hair, white shirt and denim. Yum.
Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson kick up their heels, as “Easy Rider,” won the Prix de Premiere Oeuvre. 1969.
Flowers in the back pocket. The Smiths.
