Frame Within Frame is a photo series and body-suspending apparatus questioning the documentation of clothed bodies by Laura Banfield.
Extending legs, curving arms, arching spines. A body-suspending apparatus facilitates each model’s exploration of their body’s ability to twist and bend.
A single knitted suit is observed upon these bodies, captured with a roving camera. One suit, many postures, numerous points of view. The project calls for deeper consideration of moving bodies, clothing, and the intersection of the two.
