flip*flopMURKUDIS Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection
We get a look at the second season of the collaboration between flip*flop and Kostas Murkudis, this time 2010 Autumn/Winter collection footwear and accessories. flip*flopMURKUDIS designs range from flats and sneakers to ankle and high boots. One special feature is the lacing, positioned in double rows or on the side. Another is the neoprene insock, providing un parallelled support and warmth. The starting point for this collection is Chinese imperial silk boots from the 19 century. The most literal interpretation can be seen in the “imperial princess” style. The shiny silk upper sits on top of the characteristic flip*flopMURKUDIS platform heel – a stacked wedge – wrapped in laminated silk.
I really like the little leather bags too- perfect size and the distressed, snakeskin leather is beautiful.
