Elisa Johns Huntress at Mike Weiss Gallery
Mike Weiss Gallery is proud to announce their next exhibition entitled Huntress, featuring new oil paintings on canvas by Los Angeles based artist Elisa Johns. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition at Mike Weiss Gallery. Inspired by iconic heroines of myth and history, Johns’ women are updated contemporary versions of the more traditional creatures in an excessively glamour- driven society.
The opening reception will be held at the gallery on Thursday April 8th, 6-8pm. ‘Huntress’ runs through to May 8th 2010.
