Carly Hunter Editorial A/W13 on 35mm

Designer Carly Hunter has started a small, personal photo-project, taking photographs on 35mm film of girls in beautiful locations wearing some of her favourite items from the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.

I am honored to share the second of those photo essays by Carly exclusively on AnyOneGirl today. I absolutely love looking at these images, partly because they were taken in my backyard at Piha Beach, New Zealand, while Carly was visiting in October of last year, and partly because I really admire the way Carly has captured the wildness of the rugged west coast. The elements of the location set against the colors and shape of her pieces is such a perfect pairing, it’s not too obvious… they give life to each other.
