Additionally, the name Ava Domina is a derivative of Anno Domini (‘Year of Our Lord’, the latin meaning behind AD (After Death), BC (Before Christ). The 2010 Spring introductory collection from Ava Domina is called Love and War, a juxtaposition of the two themes and the complex meanings behind them. This collection uses a stark design base and a color scheme that is almost entirely in black and white. A lack of color in the lookbook helps bring out the point out as well.
