Currently on at Andrea Rosen Gallery are two exhibitions which both use a variation of mediums and installation. Having just opened today inside the main gallery, artist Elliott Hundley offers a small collection of large paintings all very intricate, breaking the boundaries between collage and painting, performance and photography, sculpture and assemblage. The show, entitled ‘Agave of the Bacchae’, will also be Elliott’s second solo show in New York and will be on show until May 1st 2010.
Showing in Andrea Rosen’s second gallery, also having opening today, is a tri-collaboration between Inez Van Lamsweerde, Vinoodh Matadin and Eugène Matadin called ‘Sculptographs‘. Dutch painter and sculptor Eugene Matadin has used black and white images, some portraiture, and turning them into an installation, embellishing on their certain vibe or 3D possibilities.
