THURSDAY SUNDAY

I have recently been intrigued by the new winter collection images from the very clever girls of Melbourne-based Thursday, Sunday. Drawn to this collection for its celebration of a woman who is wonderfully relaxed in her own skin, yet she remains sophisticated and refined, all resonating in a quietly powerful presence…

Yeah, she’s the girl we all want to be.

This season Thursday, Sunday have drawn on inspirations from 90’s minimalism (which I also love), so I kindly (and excitedly) asked them to share their three most influential images that have helped them to form this fresh and feminine collection…

It’s funny how much three images can say about a collection too; I’m loving these yummy tonal palettes and textiles, minimal lines and subtle detail, and that image of Linda is almost too much for words – the haircut, the eyebrows, the no-makeup finish. She really is sublime…

Enjoy!

1. The first image is of tapestry; a handmade piece, beautifully textured and a prime example of the unique pieces an artisan can create. This is a prime example of minor yet effective detailing.

2. The second image is the perfect example of ‘less is more’, where the building is unassuming but still has its own specific style.

3. The third image is a favourite of Linda Evangelista – she is the epitome of 90’s minimalism.
